Philosophy
Though utilizing experiences and techniques from past projects, I look at each new project with a “clean slate” approach. It is important to remain open to new perspectives and viewpoints throughout the process, thus giving the client the highest level of quality and seeing that everyone’s ideas, needs, and overall visions are met.
Background
I began my building career in 1982 apprenticing as a residential/commercial brick, block, and stonemason. After 4 years, I received my journeymanship. I then went on to work as a commercial ironworker/welder for 2 years while going to college, where I studied drafting, structural engineering, and business. I have been a journeyman carpenter since then in both the residential and commercial fields. While I started my career in Connecticut, I’ve lived and worked in Katmai, Alaska, and St. Louis, Missouri, and I am now comfortably settled in Portland, Maine. I enjoy finding that each day brings a new experience.
